I can not believe we are having snow again!
But on this day 63 years ago my mom & dad were married and they were having a blizzard then...so I guess it is not that extraordinary. Bob and I have been enjoying the grand kids as much as we can. Unfortunately I have been experiencing some new health issues which have prevented me from doing as much as I would like to. I have even had to say no a few times which is REALLY hard for me to do in order to reserve my strength and conserve my energy. In September of 2010 I ended up in the hospital for what they thought was a heart issue. After a night in ICU, follow-up and extensive testing with my primary physician, a cardiologist, and a rheumatologist, I have been diagnosed with costochondritis which is an inflammation of the sternum, the cartilage and ribs. It will flare without reason and I have to be very careful not to over use my arms. Stress is another trigger issue and so the reason to need to say NO more often. No one knows how long I will have this or how I even got it but they suspect it could be a residual effect from having the West Nile Virus in 2003 and my weakened immune system. It has been 6 months now and although I still suffer with pain most of the time, I am learning to adjust and accept my new life-style limitations. I don't like it...but I am learning to accept it. I am determined to stay as active as I can and enjoy every moment of this beautiful life which includes a loving & devoted husband and of course our 15 beautiful, VERY busy and active grandchildren. Please enjoy the new pictures!
