Here are some more pictures of the grandkids leading up to the end of the 2009 year! It seems there is never enough time to be able to attend all the parties, all the games and competitions but we do our best when we are invited or informed. Thanks to all our kids who include us in their children's lives. Grandchildren are the bonus God gives us for becoming old parents :o)

Today is Christmas Eve and we are in the middle of a severe winter storm until December 26th, so Grandpa and I are staying close to home. Our prayers are with all those who are attempting travel and those who are alone this Christmas. May they keep their focus on the true reason for the season...Christ coming to earth as an infant through Mary the Virgin to bring us light and salvation. Enjoy the pictures everyone...God Bless!

Braxton with Grandpa

...and Grandma

Harper James Preister...lovin' those toes!!!

...and Grandpa's nose!!!

Grandpa helping Harper sit up and smile

But Braxton can sit all by himself now...and....

...crawl , too!!!!

Wow! Braxton is even reading already...well at least he likes to crumple the paper!

Big sister, Charli is sure proud of her little baby brother, Harper!

We got good news of another grandbaby coming in March 2010! Here is Bob's daughter, Jennifer and "Baby Bump Widhalm" along with granchild #12, Conner Alexander Widhalm.

Here's an amazing 4-D image of "Baby Widhalm"...Grandpa & I both agree the face looks like Jennifer...maybe a little girl???? That would be our guess...but either way grandchild #15 will be greatly loved and adored!

Another adorable picture of Conner in his Army uniform...like father...like son!
The Hammer kids...Austin (grandchild #1), Amanda-Jo (grandchild #4) and Elizabeth (grandchild #8) parents are Jody's daughter, Melissa and Gabe Hammer. They are getting so grown up!!!!

Grandpa and Nana with Layci (grandchild #11) Dylan (grandchild #6) and Kaylee (grandchild #7). Jody's son, Brandon and wife Amy's three.

And finally...grandchild #2, Dristin Gage Kucera, son of Brandon - Jody's son. He holds a very special place in my heart!

We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May 2010 bring your families and ours even closer and may all bitterness and strife be forgotton; replaced with true love and acceptance. God Bless!!!!

WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS & MAY ALL YOUR WISHES COME TRUE!

Welcome to Fall!

We thought summer was busy with all the grandkids...fall is proving to be even busier. Now that the oldest grandson (Austin - above) is playing High School sports, Grmpa and I have been trying to get to as many games as we can (never enough!) but we try.

The new grandbabies are growing rapidly and accomplishing many new feats. We also have news of another new grandbaby coming in March...#15 to Jennifer and Justin and joining big brother Conner! What fun! Enjoy the pictures.

Charli and her new pygmy goats - Dolly and Polly. They live at our place and she visits them often.

Some of the projects I completed: Cheerleading outfits for Lizzie and Amanda to wear to their brother, Austin's events. Two murals on the new basement rec-room for Gabe and Melissa (big Longhorn Fans!) and my front porch...ready for fall!

Grmpa and Nana (me) at one of Austin's games (all my kid's kids call me "Nana" - something Austin started as first born grandchild.)

Charli giving her little brother, Harper a ride on her 4-wheeler (actually they are just posing for a picture)

Haper and Grmpa. Don't they look alike???? They even have the same double chins :o)

You know, every one of our grandkids is special...but Bob told me the other night that when he looks into Harper's eyes, it is like he is looking into himself. He and Harper do resemble each other in many ways and they both have beautiful eyes!

Poor little Braxton had a cold this day, but it was nice and sunny out and so we went outside to see the pumpkins on his porch.

Our goofy cat, Sprinkles, who thought she would hide in the leaves I used to decorate the front porch.

Charli showing her ribbon she "won" after participating in the kids' run at the Bazaar.

Amanda and Lizzie on Lizzie's 7th Birthday. We went out to eat and then to see the movie "Where the Wild Things Are". It was a fun, fun day!

Amanda (center) and her volleyball team during tournament. She is pretty small compared to her team mates.

The Halloween Costumes I made for Lizzie (Diva Glow Worm/Bug) and Amanda (Greek Goddess).

Fun Pumpkin painting at the Kucera's with Dylan, Kaylee and Layci. The kids also made some beaded jewlery. It was Layci's first experience painting and she had a good time!

All 10 of my grandchildren. From L to R: Chelsey, Lizzie, Lindsay, Austin, Amanda-Jo holding Hailey, Kaylee, Dylan holding Layci, and Dristin.
This picture was "borrowed" from another website (unbeknownst to the author!) as Grmpa and I were not invited share in this event. But I just had to post it as it is rare to have a picture that includes all 10 of my grandchildren together.
Lindsay, Chelsey and Hailey are my youngest daughter, Tiffany's girls. Dristin, Dylan, Kaylee and Layci are my son, Brandon's, and Austin, Amanda-Jo, and Lizzie are my daughter, Melissa's. A very precious photo...please forgive me for borrowing it.

Braxton, Charli, Haper...look how they have grown!
